Thoughts of PN Pudur

PN Pudur - Pappanaicken Pudur.

** - No Religious / Caste biased system followed in posting this blog.

PN Pudur is in the eastern part of the Coimbatore town. This Area is named after the Naicker families who live in this part of the Coimbatore. Coimbatore as a town is occupied by people from different walks & ways of Life. PN Pudur is situated next to the TamilNadu Agricultural University (TNAU). Because of this reason in 1910's till date people from this region used to & are working in TNAU. Even my grandfather used to work as a peon in this university & grand mother used to work as a weed remover in the TNAU fields. Most of the families who are living in this part of the town for more than 30 years or so, will have some background attached with TNAU. If we look into my family roots, I can see that apart from my generation all other people in my family are / or used to work for TNAU. TNAU directly or in-directly has impact on this part of the town.

PN Pudur used to be a very small area and not more that 50 to 100 families used to live in this area. To the south of Pudur we have Seeranaicken palayam. To the east we have TNAU University. To the west we have the recently developing area called Vadavalli (correction - Now developed a lot).

Wait for more details in the coming days...
